Manual User Management

The Users View (Main Menu / Admin / Users) shows a list of all Txture User Accounts and provides management operations for those accounts.

The left side of this report shows a list of all Txture User Accounts. You can use the filter bar at the top to search for usernames. Selecting a User Account on the left panel will display its details on the right panel.

Creating a new User Account

Using the Add button above the user list, you can manually add further User Accounts. Clicking this button will bring up a form on the right panel:

In this form you can provide all data about your new User Account. Please note that some fields are mandatory. We recommend to fill all fields to allow for optimal user experience. Send invitation via email will send an automated email to the email address specified in the newly created User Account, once the account is Saved.

Warning:

Changes on this page are not saved automatically and will be lost if you leave the page. Please use the Save button once your User Account configuration is complete.

Adding User Roles

You can add Roles to your User Account during the creation process. To add a new Role slot, use the Add role button. Then, you can select the desired role from the dropdown menu:

Any excess roles (or slots) can be removed using the button next to them. All empty slots will automatically be discarded when the User Account is saved.

Editing a User Account

Editing a User Account is very similar to creating a new account. First, select the User Account you wish to edit in the left panel. Then use the form in the right panel to edit the details of the User Account and click on Save to confirm your modifications.

Warning:

The predefined admin user is a special super-user. Its name and password are configured via the txture.properties file in your Txture Home Directory. We do not recommend to change (or delete) this user on the UI.

Deleting a User Account

To delete a User Account, select the User Account in the left panel. Then, click on the delete button in the top-right corner.

Warning:

Deleting a Txture User Account is a permanent operation. The username will be retained for referencing purposes (e.g. in the Changelog).
