Auto-configured Importers
Auto-configured importers provide a streamlined way to import data from vendor-specific data sources into Txture. Instead of manually configuring individual importers, a single auto-configured importer creates a group of multiple preconfigured importers covering various types:
- Asset importers - Import assets like virtual machines, databases, storage, etc.
- Link importers - Import relationships between assets
- Property importers - Import property values for existing assets
- User importers - Import user information (where applicable)
The availability of each importer type depends on the data source and the data it provides.
Benefits
Auto-configured importers dramatically reduce manual effort by:
- Pre-defining the import schema based on the data source capabilities
- Setting up appropriate asset type mappings
- Configuring link types automatically
- Providing sensible defaults that work out of the box
Customization options
Most auto-configured importers can be individually adapted to meet your specific requirements:
- Filter data - Use filter scripts to import only a subset of the available data
- Transform data - Add dynamic columns to transform or enrich the imported data
- Map properties - Create custom mappings to your own properties defined in the Structure Editor
