CloudScape Data Source

CloudScape is a landscape discovery tool that was recently acquired by Flexera. It can be used to discover infrastructure and therefore gives a useful baseline of components to be imported to Txture. Unfortunately, CloudScape does not offer any API and data must therefore be imported to Txture using CloudScape's export function.

Connection configuration

This data source uses file-based imports from CloudScape exports. You can upload CloudScape export files directly to Txture.

Preparation - Download reports from RISCNetworks Portal

After logging in to RISCNetworks, proceed to the available reports section:

Download the Database Summary, Server Inventory and Economics Report reports and extract the ZIP files.

Uploading data

Proceed to upload the following reports to a CloudScape Data Source in Txture:

  • server_inventory.csv
  • server_logical_disks.csv
  • database_summary.csv
  • economics.csv

Creating importers

After configuring the data source, create an auto-configured importer, it will create all necessary asset, property and link importers.
