Editing Properties
The Properties tab in the Edit Asset view shows all properties of the selected asset including their source information and allows editing property values manually.
General characteristics
- The Reports section shows reports that have been preconfigured for this asset using Report Templates.
- The button on the right of each property allows commenting a property.
- To the right of each property you will find the source information indicator.
It displays the source for the information for each property.
This is indicated by an icon with one of the letters A, I, M:
- A = Automated: information has been imported from another data source.
- M = Manual: information has been entered manually by a user.
- I = Inferred: change propagation rules were used to create this piece of information.
The source information indicator
Hover over the annotation (A, M, I) to see more details about the information source. This indicator is also available for the asset itself in the header of the Edit Asset view or the Asset Detail Sidebar.
Characteristics when using Txture modules
In addition to the characteristics mentioned above, the property tab of the Edit Asset view has two more characteristics when using the Business Case Builder or Transformation Cockpit module.
Computed properties
Properties highlighted with a icon contain automatically computed values and should not be modified manually. Per default, computed properties cannot be edited. However, a click on the lock icon allows to unlock editing of a computed property, should this be necessary in exceptional cases.
Properties of the domain model "Cloud"
The blue icon next to a property indicates that this property is part of the domain model "Cloud" and thus is required when using the modules Business Case Builder or Transformation Cockpit.
