System Requirements

Info:

The following information applies to on-premise installations only and is not relevant for SaaS instances. For SaaS instances all configuration and maintenance effort is handled by the Txture team.

The required hardware depends on the workload you expect to have in your Txture instance. As applications are the central asset type in Txture, we can provide some rough sizing recommendations depending on the number of applications you want to model inside your Txture instance.

Number of applicationsCPU CoresMemory (GB)Disk space (GB)
< 10041660
100 - 500832125
500 - 15001048150
> 15001664200

Please note, that these sizing recommendations are only rough estimates. Performance may vary depending on your use-case. Specifically, besides the number of applications, please also take into account the number of total assets you want to model, as well as the number of users that are active in your instance.

You will need to have a container runtime environment such as Docker or Kubernetes. In addition, a PostgreSQL database in version 15 or higher is required. This database might also be run as a container alongside Txture.

Please note that the performance depends strongly on the IO performance of the disk used. We therefore strongly suggest to use SSD-backed storage.

To make use of all features of Txture, outgoing network connections to the following hosts must be allowed (see our data security information):

  • api.txture.io (https on port 443)
  • sentry.io (optional for bug reports, https on port 443)

Txture is accessed as a web application and the following browsers are officially supported:

  • Latest Chrome and its two previous releases relative to the Txture release date
  • Latest Firefox and its two previous releases relative to the Txture release date
  • Latest Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 support was deprecated in release 9 of Txture and discontinued with release 10 of Txture.

Other browsers or browser versions may work correctly with the Txture web application, but are not officially supported.
